Sometimes an hour a week is not enough time to sit down with your licensed therapist. “Intensives” refer to sessions sought out by individuals or couples in a time of crisis or transition. They are growth-oriented, assisting individuals and couples reach the next stage in their developmental process. They are often significant and life changing events for those who participate, creating breakthrough moments toward life-long changes. Intensives also allow for those from other geographic areas to engage the services of a Redimere therapist.

It is a major investment to participate in our intensive sessions.The structure of an intensive is generally a one or two week period meeting for three hours per day Monday through Friday. Homework, readings, and time for rest and reflection will be the focus between meetings. Those participating in intensives should schedule minimal outside activities in order to provide time for deliberation and contemplation. However, we do not take a “one size fits all” approach to designing the intensives. We intentionally get to know each person or couple in order to design an intensive, which meets individual needs.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT is an evidence-based treatment designed to help couples articulate, handle, understand and renew their emotional bonds. EFT is  a couples therapy process, especially helpful for couples struggling to communicate and experiencing  emotional disconnection.. It is proven to help reduce conflict, foster connection and create lasting intimacy. Currently EFT is a leading therapeutic approah  for helping couples repair and enrich their relationship.
